Douglas named to several All-America teams

Dec. 30, 2016 - Rasul Douglas, who was the 2014 Northeast Football Conference's Defensive Player of the Year, was named to the Associated Press and the Football Writers’ Association of America All-American teams as a second-team selection. Douglas, who played at Nassau, is a cornerback at West Virginia.

Douglas, who tied for the national lead in interceptions with eight in 2016, was named an unanimous All-Big 12 First-Team honoree by the league’s coaches, the Associated Press and ESPN.com. He also was named to Walter Camp, Pro Football Focus and USA Today All-American second teams and as the league’s defensive player of the year by ESPN.com. Douglas was also named an unanimous All-Big 12 First-Team honoree by the league’s coaches, the Associated Press and ESPN.com.
